2nd Shift Cleaning Technician

Assembles minor products or components with a small number of details within routine and highly repetitive assembly operations. Typically works at a workbench or on a conveyer line. Common tasks include checking, sorting, packaging, labeling, pasting, sniping, tying, or trimming either manually or by machine. Performs basic equipment adjustments, routine maintenance, and cleaning. May perform miscellaneous jobs such as moving assemblies/machines or cleaning floors. Typically has 0-2 years of experience and works under close supervision. Typical job titles include: General Labor, Machine Operator, Maker/Packer, Assembler and Line Operator.

Job Description

We are looking for a 2nd Shift Cleaning Technician who will be responsible for all aspects of Railcar cleaning, including the inspection, care and maintenance of equipment used in the cleaning process.

Job Requirements

• Ability to enter confined spaces wearing movement and sight restricting PPE with limited lighting to clean.
• Clean interior of tank and hopper cars in compliance with Tactical Cleaning policies and procedures.
• Inspect clean railcars interiors for compliance with customer and company requirements.
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner and report potential hazards.
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 4 feet off the ground with proper PPE and fall protection.
• Able to pass background, drug screen and physical.
