Job Description
JOB SUMMARY The Associate Worship Pastor will most often be the primary worship leader for the weekendservices at the central campus or co-lead the weekend services with the worship pastor. Theymay also assist with leading at satellite campuses. They will work closely with leadership tocontinue to implement and further develop the philosophical and practical standards of theworship ministry. The associate worship pastor will need to be passionate about developing thenext generation of worship leaders in order to support the mission and vision of CBC as campusexpansion accelerates

- Plan, coordinate, and lead weekend services on Central campus and other campuses as needed
- Participate increative meetings
- Lead worship for gatherings as assigned, including but not limited to: weekend gatherings,student and college gatherings, funerals, monthly staff worship meetings (P&P) and specialevents as needed
- Attending andcontributing to meetings for weekend services, special events, etc.
- Developingthoughtful worship sets for gatherings
- Develop the next generation of worship leaders & empower them to lead
- Assist with weeklysatellite campus and central campus tasks
- Train/develop team members and volunteers
- Host guest artists
- Coordinating withother CBC ministries to support their events
- Other duties asassigned
COMPENTENCIES - Musical and vocal ability to lead worship
- Ability to sing in Spanish and English
- Possess strong communication skills in the Englishlanguage (verbal and written)
- Ability to maintain professional relationships
- Possess strong attention to detail
- Must possess intermediate computer skills usingapplications such as Ableton, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, ect.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, workindependently, multitask, and produce results in a high stress environment
- Excellent developer of people with experience developingstaff and volunteers
- A thoughtful leader who makes decisions that reflect thevision and values of the organization
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This isa full-time position (40hrs). Days and hoursof operation are scheduled any time Monday -Sunday. Working weekends andevenings will be required as job duties demand. Thisrole may be asked to travel in and out of town for conferences, camps, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee maybe regularly required to do the following:
- Must have goodor corrected vision as well as effectiveperipheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must have good manual dexterity and be able to use repetitive motionof the hands and arms
- Mustbe able to remain in a stationary position for extended periodsof time
- Must be able to move efficiently on stage for 20 minutes to 1 hour
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
- Must be able to move about insidethe office and storage rooms, caring equipment up to 90lbs
- Mustbe able to frequently and effectively communicatein both written and verbal form
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicateeffectively with team members at all levels of the organization
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Highschool Diploma or GED (required)
- 5 or more years leading as primary worship leader (multi site preferred)
- 5 or more years as a leader developing teams
- Song writing ability (preferred )
- Proficiency playing acoustic guitar or piano (preferred)
- Ability to sing in Spanish (Fluency not required)
WORK ENVIRONMENT Duties are performed in a variety of settings toinclude, outside, office and technical settings where the work and general environmentmay be fast-paced and hectic at times. Therefore, it is essential that the employeecan effectively handle the normal anxieties associated with the job and managemultiple projects in service-oriented environment. Environmental noise levelsare minimal.
