Job Description Job Description This position is located in Phoenix, AZ. About the Role We are seeking an experienced CPA or EA to join our team. This role focuses on reviewing and adjusting financial statements, preparing income tax returns for individuals and small businesses, and income tax resolution services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in accounting and tax compliance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Key Responsibilities Review client financial statements for accuracy and compliance. Calculate adjusting and tax-related entries for clients and produce accurate financial statements. Prepare and file individual and small business income tax returns. Engage directly with the IRS (or other authority) to investigate and resolve tax issues on behalf of clients. Conduct tax planning and provide guidance on tax strategies. Communicate directly with clients to: Gather necessary documentation. Clarify financial and tax-related questions. Provide updates on deadlines and compliance requirements. Participate in monthly or quarterly client meetings to review financial performance and tax planning. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Maintain organized client records and documentation. Qualifications Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation. Proven experience in tax preparation and financial statement review. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations. Proficiency with tax software and experience with QuickBooks. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively. Preferred Skills Experience with small business tax planning and advisory. Familiarity with multi-state tax filings. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
