Job Description
As the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), you will lead medical oversight and direction for our healthcare project, ensuring comprehensive medical care for U.S. government employees and contractors. Your collaboration with healthcare professionals will enhance care delivery across primary care, urgent care clinics, and emergency services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise healthcare providers at Department of State clinics, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, education, diagnosis, exams, vaccinations, and STD testing.
  • Manage limited chronic care, emphasizing preexisting conditions.
  • Provide primary care across various medical specialties.
  • Assist in assessing and stabilizing patients requiring urgent care.
  • Work alongside on-site physicians and healthcare staff to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with procedures, standards, and training requirements.
  • Engage in MASCAL exercises to prepare for crisis situations.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements/Certifications:

  • Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
  • Full unrestricted U.S. Licensure in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • Current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certifications.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience, including 6 months within the last year.
  • Preferably experience working on military sites as a contractor.

Education Required:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must satisfy pre-deployment physical criteria.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods; may involve bending and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Other Special Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Valid U.S. Passport with at least 18 months before expiration; must maintain this during the assignment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (MRPT); current clearances are preferred.
  • Willingness to relocate for the duration of the project.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Additional Information
Compensation ranges from $360,000 to $380,000, based on experience and qualifications. Full-time employees receive a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401k plan, paid time off, and an annual bonus.
