Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer with expertise in land site design and stormwater management to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing site development projects with a focus on grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater systems in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop civil engineering plans for land development projects including site layout, grading, utility design, and roadway geometry.
• Design and analyze stormwater management systems including detention/retention basins, green infrastructure, and water quality structures.
• Prepare stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), erosion and sediment control plans, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling reports.
• Ensure projects meet zoning codes, permitting requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with surveyors, architects, environmental consultants, and local agencies throughout the design and permitting process.
• Conduct site assessments, grading studies, and drainage analysis using tools like HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Provide construction oversight and support to ensure implementation of designs according to specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, cost estimates, and client presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in land/site development and stormwater management.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and stormwater modeling software such as HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or SWMM.
• Familiarity with local and state land development codes and stormwater regulations.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or in progress.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Low Impact Development (LID) and green infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of permitting processes (e.g., NPDES, MS4, municipal).
• Experience working with GIS tools for watershed and terrain analysis.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid of office and field work.
• Occasional travel to project sites and municipal meetings may be required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a collaborative team environment.
