About the Role

The Company is seeking a College and Career Coach to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct support to staff in their personal and professional development, with a focus on academic and career advancement. This includes engaging with staff to identify their needs and interests, conducting intake surveys, and creating individual action plans. The role also involves staying current on industry best practices, providing guidance on college admissions and scholarship applications, and delivering training on various related topics. The College and Career Coach will work closely with the Director of Lifecraft to ensure consistent support and will be expected to collaborate across all departments to best understand and meet the needs of the staff. Applicants for the College and Career Coach position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years' experience in college and career advising, with a preference for those holding a Master's degree. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and resourceful professional with a strong background in the field, possessing excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. They should be adept at managing multiple projects, be a self-starter, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in the college admissions process, a commitment to continuous learning, and a passion for empowering others are essential. The role requires a candidate who is highly knowledgeable about the college admissions and transfer process, and who can effectively coach staff in employment skills and promote career and internship opportunities.
