Overview Role: BESS Trader (Banked Energy Storage Systems) focusing on trading activities within ERCOT and other relevant markets. Key Responsibilities Execute day-ahead and real-time trading strategies for BESS assets within ERCOT and other relevant markets Optimize charging and discharging schedules to maximize revenue across energy, ancillary services, and capacity markets Monitor trading positions, P&L, and exposure to market risks Ensure compliance with ERCOT market rules, FERC regulations, and internal risk policies Conduct fundamental and quantitative analysis of power markets, demand/supply trends, and policy changes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred At least 3 years of experience in energy trading, asset optimization, or related roles (experiences in ERCOT preferred) Direct experience with BESS trading and operation is required Strong understanding of wholesale power markets, including day-ahead and real-time operations Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Strategy/Planning and Product Management #J-18808-Ljbffr Piper Maddox
