Summary

Blue Sky is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Front Desk/Data Entry Specialist to provide administrative and customer service support in a fast-paced office environment. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, offering reception, scheduling, and data entry services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and experience working with diverse populations. This full-time position is located in the Hanscom Area of Massachusetts and offers regular weekday hours with the potential for situational telework based on policy requirements.

Location: Hanscom AFB, MA

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and visitors, answer telephone inquiries, and direct individuals to the appropriate personnel.
  • Schedule and manage client appointments for workshops, classes, and programs.
  • Provide accurate and timely data entry into multiple web-based systems, including AFFIRST and DOD TAP applications.
  • Send reminder communications to clients in accordance with scheduling protocols.
  • Maintain front desk appearance and ensure resource materials are neatly arranged and equipment issues are reported.
  • Track and document client sign-ins; generate monthly client usage reports.
  • Adhere to established procedures for safeguarding government-issued property and handling privacy-sensitive information.
  • Participate in required training sessions; maintain awareness of programs and services to support client engagement.
  • Complete monthly deliverables including data entry reports and resume submissions for any staffing vacancies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role within a professional office environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to use web-based platforms such as Microsoft Edge or Chrome.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Familiarity with military family support structures, customer service protocols, and working within diverse communities is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business casual dress required during work hours.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain DoD access credentials (CAC card) and complete a favorable background check.
  • Candidates must have a REAL ID or must present a passport for employment.
  • Three professional references required. No personal references are allowed.

Hours : Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.
