Graphic and Web Designer POSITION IN-OFFICE in SPRINGFIELD, MA (remote optional Fridays) Less than 25 miles from Hartford, CT ./p> Do you have a passion for developing and designing beautiful, well-optimized websites with a focus on user experience? Do you enjoy creating other graphic design pieces including print and digital ads, brochures, email campaigns and graphics, static and animated digital ads, etc.? Our goal is to always translate strategies into creative campaigns that achieve our client's desired message within established budgets and timeframes. Web Development Primary Position Requirements (Qualifications): Experience with web coding technologies and software (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP & MySQL) Advanced experience building and deploying custom and template-based content management systems specifically Word Press. You'll also have a fundamental understanding of domain/hosting control Experience with responsive and adaptive design and cross-browser and responsive testing Experience creating sitemaps/wireframes / website architecture Intermediate knowledge of on-page SEO Ability to review web comps and determine issues before development is begun Advanced knowledge of and ability to deploy the capabilities of graphic design processes, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Animate and comparable tools as they evolve Completely proficient in macOS 3-5 years of both web development and graphic design experience Bachelor's degree in Web Development/Graphic Arts or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience Basic experience in concept development, print production, paper stock, and photography Graphic Design Primary Position Functions: Confer with account representatives, graphic designers, and clients to discuss campaign objectives, budget, presentation approaches, styles, and techniques Design and develop static and CMS websites from start to finish Formulate the overall look or style of a campaign, ensuring all design concepts support, maintain, and visually represent the desired concept Layout design or presentation approach. Specify material and campaign details, such as style and size of type, photographs, graphics, animation, and video elements to be included Provide support to design and production staff and vendors responsible for the final design and production phases of campaigns Self-proof and edit work to ensure accuracy Remain current on evolving trends, technologies, and concepts within the industry (including SEO) Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under the pressure of deadlines Excellent proofreading, spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment Additional Position Functions: Provide photographic support both on-location or in-house Support Account Team in defining and meeting client needs Create visual aids for internal use Contribute supporting ideas for company marketplace appearance, new articles, and blog posts Additional skills a plus (but not required): Video creation/editing Illustration Digital animation Submission Requirements: You'll need to include a link to your digital portfolio of sites you have personally developed.
