Job Description

We're seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant with hands-on experience in the mortgage industry, from a brokerage environment. In this role, you'll collaborate directly with a Loan Officer to streamline the loan process and deliver a smooth client experience from application to close. Key Responsibilities:

• Review loan applications and discuss details with the Loan Officer
• Gather required borrower documentation and ensure file completeness
• Accurately input loan data and submit applications
• Lock mortgage loans in accordance with program guidelines
• Communicate with clients, processors, and underwriters throughout the process
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac requirements

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the mortgage industry, preferably within a brokerage
• Strong understanding of agency guidelines (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac)
• Familiarity with LOS systems and loan locking procedures
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines efficiently
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
