Role and Responsibilities

• Process agency documents on automated letter inserter. Maintain production standards established by manager. Prepare daily report detailing types of documents processed.
• Interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
• Able to process mail on postage meters. Correctly completes all paperwork, including sample Log, dispatch tally sheets, and end of day reports. Meeting production standards.
• Provide movement of materials throughout agency. Consistently places mail in the correct mail slot or distribution point.
• Knowledgeable and able to send and receive fax messages relating to medical records for agency.
• Maintain tracking log for accountable mail, ensuring mail is delivered correctly to addressee at specified time of day
• Maintains a positive, team-oriented relationship with management, peers, and customers.
• Ensure outgoing cases are correctly placed in mail slot and processed with correct label and mailed with priority postage when required.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a mailroom.
• Good communication skills for dealing with internal/external customers.
• Ability to handle high volume of production and meet daily deadlines.
• Ability to handle high stress situation.
• Team orientated.
• To perform job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential performance requirement.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
• The ability to cope with and tolerate moderate levels of stress is also a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a telephone and keyboard.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
