Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Middle School Special Education Teacher role is available for the uping school year in Clinton, SC. This position involves working collaboratively within a team of four special education teachers to deliver direct instruction across core subjects such as ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The role includes providing both supplemental and supplanted instruction through co-teaching models tailored to meet diverse student needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction in multiple core academic subjects to middle school students with special education needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of special education teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide co-teaching support in classrooms, integrating tailored instructional strategies within the general education environment.
  • Participate actively in team planning sessions to coordinate schedules and instructional services across different grade levels and subjects.
  • Utilize assessment data to monitor student progress and adapt instructional approaches accordingly.
  • Maintain pliance with special education regulations and documentation requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education with experience at the middle school level.
  • Strong knowledge of core subject curriculum and effective strategies for special education instruction.
  • Ability to collaborate and municate professionally within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Experience with co-teaching models and differentiated instruction techniques.
