As a Music Teacher you will be responsible for all music education-related elements within the lessons and rehearsals, creating a dynamic experience to ensure students are challenged and inspired. The Music Teacher positively embodies rock and roll and is responsible for creating a valuable student experience that helping our students learn music and life skills. This position requires Saturday availability.
Music Instruction:
● Maximize the quality of music instruction through private lessons and show rehearsals
● Ensure students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs, using the School of Rock Method™
● Create and document thoughtful lesson plans using our patented teaching Method, Books and Method App
Customer Connection:
● Communicate with parents on the progress of students by creating quality lesson notes and assignments in the School of Rock Method App for at-home practice
● Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible while at the school
● Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program
● Assist in rehearsals and with the upkeep of lesson facilities school
Skill Requirements:
● 2 + years experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
● Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
● Strong customer relations skills. Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers
● Strong organizational skills
● Resourceful; good problem-solver
● Works well under pressure
● Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
● Passion for teaching
