Leidos is seeking a Painter to support our Intelligence Community customer in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. This role will be based on-site and will contribute to a variety of Facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial painting, general construction, and light renovation, and will be comfortable working with minimal supervision across a wide range of projects. This role requires a strong team-oriented mindset, the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, and a consistent focus on quality and safety.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Paint and prep commercial office spaces with minimal supervision

  • Interpret and work from basic schematics and diagrams

  • Perform general carpentry work including framing, drywall installation, finishing, and patching

  • Remove and install carpet and cove base

  • Use hand and power tools for facility renovation, repair, and construction

  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company policies

  • Execute rapid and reliable response to abnormal facility operations and emergency repairs

  • Perform physically demanding tasks including standing for long periods, bending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching overhead

  • Assist with other duties as required in support of facilities operations

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in facilities coordination, facility maintenance, or building operations.

  • Basic understanding of facility management principles, including space planning, routine maintenance, and building systems.

  • Familiarity with facilities operations and upkeep tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance.

  • Working knowledge of safety standards and building codes.

  • Experience in commercial and/or industrial construction or facility maintenance

  • Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions

  • Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in construction environments

  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of a Master or Journeyman Electrical License.

  • Additional certifications in painting, drywall, or general construction

  • Experience working in a secure or classified environment

  • Familiarity with government facility standards and O&M protocols

  • OSHA 10/30-hour certification

  • Experience working on multi-trade teams in support of large-scale renovations
