Nemours Children's Hospital in Florida is seeking a Pediatric Neurologist to join our rapidly growing team in Orlando. Physicians interested in Headache are encouraged to apply.
Our neurosciences center features a expanding program with a team comprising 6 neurologists, 3 neurosurgeons, 6 APPs, and strong ancillary support including nurses, MAs, EEG technicians, occupational and physical therapists, and social workers. We have a well-established neuromuscular and epilepsy program, including a 6-bed EMU and active epilepsy surgery program. We offer gene therapies for all FDA-approved neurological conditions and have an active international medicine program providing neurological services worldwide. We aim to develop additional clinical programs such as headache, developmental neurology, and movement disorders, alongside expanding our clinical research and trials. Candidates will have opportunities to build and lead these programs. Academic appointments through the University of Central Florida College of Medicine are encouraged.
Nemours Children's Hospital is a 130-bed facility with a 20-bed PICU, 18-bed CICU, and 18-bed NICU. Physicians participate in an equal number of inpatient service weeks and night calls. The neurology service is consultative, with on-call coverage for inpatient floors, PICU, NICU, and emergency department. The team includes pediatric residents and medical students, with a resident or APP typically first on call along with the attending physician.
As a faculty member of UCFCOM, candidates can participate in medical student admissions, education, and training. Involvement in research, quality improvement, and academic activities with students is encouraged. Library resources are available through the medical college.
