Job Description

The successful candidate will join one board-certified pediatric neurologist and one nurse practitioner who currently staff the Toledo location. The clinical team consists of registered nurses, medical assistants, EEG technicians, and registration staff. The Division of Pediatric Neurology located in Toledo provides dedicated, comprehensive call coverage, inpatient/ED consultations, and runs a full service 3-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.

Qualifications:

• Completed residency in Child Neurology
• Board certified or eligible in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology
• Strong clinical skills
• Commitment to teaching
• Desire to serve the community

Job Summary:

Provides medical care and treatment to patients, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and coordination of care. Participates in teaching and stays updated with medical advancements.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct patient assessments and diagnose medical conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Communicate with patients and families
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in training of medical staff

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
• Graduate of an approved Fellowship program (if applicable)
• Medical license in Ohio
• Unrestricted physician license
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics

Physical and Other Requirements:

Must be able to move or reposition patients of any size with assistance. Physical stamina to perform duties as described.
