Professional Land Surveyor Objective We are seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to join our established surveying practice serving the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. Responsibilities: Execute comprehensive surveying services including boundary determinations, topographical mapping, construction layout, as-built documentation, and utility corridor assessments Perform ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys with precision and attention to regulatory standards Conduct field operations using advanced GPS technology and total station equipment Prepare detailed survey drawings and technical documentation using industry-standard software platforms Collaborate effectively within project teams to meet client deliverables and project timelines Support construction projects through accurate stakeout services and field verification Maintain professional standards and quality control throughout all survey activities Adapt to varying project locations within the regional service area as needed Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum of five years of professional experience in land surveying practices Current Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) certification required; Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license strongly preferred Active licensure in Pennsylvania and/or Ohio, or demonstrated ability to obtain required state credentials Proficiency with Topcon GPS systems and total station instrumentation Comprehensive experience across survey disciplines including ALTA standards, construction support, utilities, topographic work, and boundary analysis Advanced skills in Carlson Survey software or AutoCAD Civil 3D applications Strong work ethic with flexibility for overtime assignments and local travel requirements Excellent teamwork capabilities and self-motivated approach to professional responsibilities Ref: #282-Eng Pgh #M1 System One
