Project Coordinator
PURPOSE
The Project Coordinators' primary responsibility is to provide coordination support to construction projects. Other duties include assistance with estimating, selections, sales, and administrative duties. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changing needs quickly is critical to the success of this role. This position is responsible for maintaining client satisfaction throughout the project. You oversee the project from sales to completion. This role reports directly to the President.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for communication with designers, architects and engineers throughout the project ensuring all necessary critical information is communicated in a timely manner.
Ensures project managers have updated specs to perform their jobs
Confirms all material selections are approved and ordered to meet project management scheduling timelines
Draft, review, and execute change orders on material selections as needed
Orders materials for critical path delivery and tracks and organizes all inventory.
Maintain regular contact with all of the construction team for the duration of projects and assist with requested updates.
Budget development and monitoring of each project.
Participates in scheduling, sales, and team meetings.
Provides excellent service levels to clients.
Is the expert Construction Software (Job Tread, Co-Construction, Buildertrend, ProCore, Sage etc), including estimating, selections, budget etc.
Organizes and leads pre-construction meetings and job-site walkthroughs.
Is an expert with the project plans in order to guide and communicate with all involved
Analyze the scope of work that details how the project will be executed.
Understand the scope of the work and discuss all requests for additional work with appropriate parties.
Visits all job sites at least twice a week.
Understand design and potential challenges to implementing the build
Obtains and reads all trade partner estimates in detail to ensure accuracy according to plans.
Leads final punch list walk-throughs with project managers and clients.
Create project estimates in CoConstruct from plans, historical data, trade partner quotes, and formulas.
Updates templates and creates efficient formulas in CoConstruct to use for future similar jobs.
Studies job cost reports and participates in job autopsies in order to make necessary. changes as needed to ensure we are hitting the goal margins.
Attention to detail and strong communication to appropriate parties.
Oversee warranty requests.
Miscellaneous other duties as required.
HOURS
The Project Coordinator is a partly remote Monday - Friday position 30-40 hours a week. We ask that 75% of the work is done during normal business hours of 7 am to 3:30 pm.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years of construction experience or related field
An associate degree in a related field of study ideal
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Experience using computers and various software for a variety of tasks
Good communication, job coordination and supervisory skills
Must have a good working knowledge of related building trades
Fast learner and coachable
Self-motivated and able to work accurately under pressure
Must be available for extended work as required
Reliable vehicle
California driver's license and good driving record
