About the Role:
Join Ellie Mental Health as a Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner in Clifton Park, NY, where you will play a vital role in transforming mental health care. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment, providing compassionate care to individuals seeking mental wellness.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed.
Provide psychotherapy and counseling to individuals and groups.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatments.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health.
Current Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health care.
