Direct Hire

Wilsonville, OR – Hybrid work schedule

Starting at $150,000/year

We are looking for an experienced Director of Sales with experience in food service, beverage, or restaurant industry to lead the strategic planning, execution, and management of outbound sales initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives. This leadership role is pivotal in driving sales growth through data-driven strategies, market analysis, and effective team development. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of outbound sales, this position ensures strong sales practices, staff performance, training programs, and the effective use of CRM tools to optimize results.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Oversee departmental performance, ensuring timely execution of duties and proactively addressing challenges with solutions.
  • Lead and coach sales staff, fostering continuous growth and development.
  • Define and communicate departmental goals and metrics that align with overall company objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and maintain a long-term sales strategy that supports business growth and core values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement outbound sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales objectives.
  • Forecast and set sales expectations, evaluating performance across existing and new accounts.
  • Ensure effective training and development of sales staff through structured programs.
  • Establish and monitor key sales metrics to assess strategy effectiveness and team performance.
  • Work closely with Marketing to align multi-channel sales initiatives with company goals.
  • Negotiate favorable contract terms to drive business growth and competitive advantage.
  • Build strong relationships with top customers and vendor representatives.
  • Oversee business development efforts to expand and strengthen existing accounts.
  • Ensure CRM systems are utilized effectively through standardized processes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor strategies to refine sales approaches.
  • Collaborate with Vendor Relations, Marketing, Finance, and Leadership to align sales efforts with broader business objectives.

Ideal Qualifications:

Skills & Knowledge

  • Industry knowledge and experience in food service, beverage, or restaurant industry.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience with a results-driven approach.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for forecasting and performance evaluation.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and maintain confidentiality.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in coffee or foodservice distribution, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of sales management experience.
