Job Description

RH at its core is about taste, and we believe the idea of scaling taste is large and far reaching.

The RH brand attracts the best designers, artisans, manufacturers and talent in our industry, scaling and rendering their work more valuable across our integrated platform, enabling us to curate the most compelling collection of luxury home furnishings in the world. We are moving the brand beyond curating and selling products to conceptualizing and selling spaces by building an ecosystem of products, places, services and spaces that elevates and establishes the RH brand as a global thought leader, taste and place maker.

At RH we believe deeply that the right people are our greatest asset. We value people with high energy, who possess the ability to energize others. People who are smart, creative and have a point of view. People who see the answer in every problem, versus those who see the problem in every answer. People who are driven, determined and won't take no for an answer. We value team players, people who are more concerned with what's right, rather than who's right.

The Sales Leader is responsible for leading the sales activities across their customer base and developing new client relationships and project opportunities in line with the sales goals and objectives of our total Contract business. Candidates who have proven successes in building instant customer rapport, operating in a high-output sales organization, and achieving sales targets will be viewed most favorably.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Live Our Vision, Values and Beliefs every day
  • Achieve sales plans by executing a solution sales strategy in collaboration with leadership, leveraging relationships, RH core capabilities, and industry insights to achieve quarterly/annual sales and margin goals
  • Proactive outreach to current and target Hospitality and Commercial customers, including emailing, making outbound calls and presenting Contract capabilities via Zoom.
  • Providing price bids and project quotations
  • Closing sales and coordinating customer and project requirements with our operational capabilities, guiding customers to solutions that we can best supply to meet their specific project needs
  • Accountable for partnering with project, sourcing, and logistics leaders to ensure projects are properly led and executed, including product selection, creation of quotes and invoices and order fulfillment planning
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis and log all key communications and activities in the CRM system
  • Build and hold relationships with key influencers and decision makers across the customer base for your respective geography
  • Collaborate with North American and International Business Development and Project Leaders and RH Gallery and Trade teams across all segments to help “connect the dots” within our customer and project ecosystems and drive opportunities to the appropriate sales channel to support

OUR REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or related field or a design degree with experience working in contract design
  • Previous sales related experience is preferred in one or more of the following industries; residential builder, commercial and hospitality
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understanding of the customer ecosystem and contract project lifecycle from design to delivery
  • Highly motivated self-starter that performs consistently in a fast-paced environment and is adept at identifying and overcoming obstacles as well as quickly defining opportunities and driving solutions
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Sales and negotiating skills, competent and effective in providing virtual proposals and in closing sales over the phone and through email communications
  • Drives results through strong collaboration and critical thinking
  • Skilled in sales growth planning, providing accurate sales forecasts and achieving sales goals
  • Proficient in multiple systems and spreadsheets, ie: CRM/SalesForce, excel, ppt
