Align is seeking a high-performing and motivated law student to join our global Strategic Commercial Affairs (“ SCA ”) legal team as its 2026 Commercial & Technology Legal Intern . The SCA legal team is based out of Align’s Silicon Valley office and comprises an exceptional and collegial group of international attorneys from across the globe, including the United States, Europe, and Israel. SCA is responsible for Align’s most strategic commercial matters, including global procurement and sourcing, R&D and joint development projects, clinical and regulatory matters, technology licensing, and M&A.  SCA provides legal counsel to technical and business teams and executives across the company and across Align’s product lines. 

Within the SCA legal team, your work will focus on general commercial legal matters with global strategic importance.  In particular, you will be expected to:

• Assist the SCA legal team with contract drafting and negotiations, and ensure agreements are consistent with business objectives and legal guidelines;
• Research global laws, draft legal memoranda, create presentations, and report on your findings;
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals; and
• Assist with other duties, including administrative duties, as may be assigned

• Current enrollment at an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of law school;
• Excellent grammar and proofreading skills;
• Interest in the cross-section of law and technology;
• Efficient, effective, detail-oriented, and well-organized;
• Confident communicator with a strong but diplomatic presence and positive attitude;
• Capacity to handle a high volume of activity in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace; and
• Open to new challenges and motivated to succeed.
