Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic

Bellingham, WA

We are seeking a full-time Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a skilled mechanic with strong diagnostic abilities, hands-on repair experience, and excellent attention to detail. This role involves working on a wide range of used trucks and vehicles in a brand-new, fully equipped, heated and air-conditioned shop.

• Heated and air-conditioned work environment

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks and vehicles and perform diagnostic testing to identify issues
• Conduct high-quality repairs focused on long-term reliability
• Troubleshoot reported problems and complete repairs in a timely manner
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of vehicles
• Replenish vehicle fluids and replace components as needed
• Advise customers/drivers on proper maintenance and preventative measures
• Assist with tasks such as repairing hydraulic systems, ordering parts, etc.
• Maintain accurate work logs and report any issues promptly

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an automotive technician
• Minimum 5 years professional experience required
• Strong knowledge of European makes, electrical systems, and mechanical components
• Proficient with hand tools, precision measurement tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to follow established procedures, technical instructions, and schematics
• Strong commitment to safety and shop best practices
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• High school diploma preferred
• Vocational school certification, apprenticeship, or ASE certification is an asset
• Must pass a background check and possess a clean driving record

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour (based on experience)
