Pay Range: $60 - $70/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Code Evaluation
- Conduct in-depth reviews of the MAX codebase to assess quality, maintainability, and alignment with project requirements.
- Identify areas for refactoring, optimization, and risk mitigation, assisting with configuration and/or customization effort estimation
- Develop and implement code validation and testing strategies to ensure reliability and performance.
- Mentor and guide development teams on coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices.
- Provide technical recommendations for configuration versus customization decisions, especially in the context of fit-gap assessments.
- Release Planning
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define release goals, timelines, and scope.
- Develop high-level and detailed release plans, including prioritization of backlog items and functional blocks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for each release, including QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Implement modern release management strategies, such as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and rollback mechanisms.
- Monitor release health and provide metrics-driven insights for continuous improvement.
- Architectural Leadership
- Identify and define architecture standards and roadmaps for the MAX platform.
- Guide solution design, integration strategies, and technical direction, including effort estimation for the project.
- Ensure solutions adhere to enterprise security, compliance, and operational standards.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Document architectural decisions, code evaluations, and release plans for reference and reporting.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key skills; .NET, MAX, CI/CD
- Extensive experience with .NET development and architecture, specifically with the MAX code base
- Proven track record in code review, release planning, and technical leadership.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and modern release management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in remote or hybrid environments.
- Experience mentoring developers and guiding teams through complex technical challenges.
- Prior involvement in large-scale system implementations, especially in government or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and release trains.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and infrastructure as code
