Job Description

A pharmacy in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract-to-hire position. The role includes sterile compounding, retail technician responsibilities, and may involve occasional support with infusion services.

Position Overview:

• Setting: Retail Pharmacy with Sterile Compounding and Infusion

• Location: Austin, TX

• Type: Contract-to-Hire (13 Weeks)

• Schedule: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Compound sterile medications using aseptic technique

• Support retail operations and assist with data entry

• Perform lab cleaning, inventory, and equipment management

• Ensure compliance with USP guidelines and Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations

• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the pharmacy team

• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment

Required Qualifications:

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)

• ACPE Sterile Compounding Certification

• 12 years of sterile compounding experience

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with PioneerRx software

• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills

• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Capable of standing for extended periods
