Our Driver may be autonomous, but Waymo's finances are steered by experts like you. The Finance and Accounting group manages all aspects of our finances and serves as trusted advisors for all our strategic and enterprise endeavors. Along with managing compilation of our financial statements, looking after our cash and overseeing compliance, we partner closely with the business in overseeing company wide resource allocation, developing cutting edge compensation initiatives and generating detailed financial analyses to drive the business forward. We also develop advanced capital strategies to support the company's short- and long-term future. In this hybrid role, you will report to the Head of Strategic Finance, Commercial Finance and Corp FP&A. You Will - Collaborate across functional teams to analyze and pressure test the long-term drivers of the business
- Model complex P&Ls and cash flows across multiple company-wide business lines
- Derive strategic insights and drive business action via financial data and independent/external research
- Engage with business partners to provide strong financial oversight for business decisions, including driving business review forums and other strategic analyses
- Conduct financial analysis for and assist in other ad-hoc and highly visible strategic projects
- Prepare executive presentations for senior leadership
You Have - 10+ years' experience in Finance or Business Analysis, including Private Equity, Public Markets Investing, Equity Research, Corporate Finance, or other associated fields
- Financial acumen with exceptional financial modeling skills and deep familiarity with financial statements
- Experience partnering and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Strategic mindset: able to think multiple steps ahead on the implications of financial decisions and approaches
- Critical thinking with a particular focus on financial modeling and strategic/market analysis
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required. Proven track record of the ability to present thoughtful input to controversial decision making and materially influence outcomes
- Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment
- BS/BA/MBA in Finance, CFA Certification, Accounting or Business related subject areas
We Prefer - 2+ years experience in investment banking, private equity, public markets investing, or any other analytically intensive roles
- Experience in valuation methodologies and principles
- Industry knowledge or interest in the rideshare, automotive, or autonomous vehicle industries
- Software or other tech industry experience
- MBA with a focus on finance or CFA certification
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
