Job Description: Metas Solutions has an
opening for a
Technical Writer to join our team to consult on a program initiative to establish a modernized public health (PH) data ecosystem, including efforts to modernize infrastructure and system needs to help federal, state, tribal, local, and territorial (STLT). Global public health organizations and institutions make decisions about necessary improvements that will allow data to flow more seamlessly.
Responsibilities: - Provide full editorial support to program staff on various written materials, including user guides, software release notes, installation guides, technical reference guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure that documents present information clearly and effectively, are written at a level appropriate for the target audience, and adhere to client style/specifications/guidance.
- Maintain and manage documents in the designated document management system, keeping accurate records of all legacy, current, and pending system documents.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings (in person and virtual), including facilitating meetings on Teams, Zoom, and other report tools.
- Facilitate meetings and create meeting summaries.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree with Entry level to Senior level experience hands-on support with documentation management software.
- Experience with IT System development and enhancement documentation.
- Familiarity with public health principles and developing and delivering presentations using various methods (e.g., MS Office Word and PPT).
- Experience working with the federal government.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, professionalism, and the flexibility to adjust approaches based on the client's strategic priorities are characteristics of a successful candidate for this role.
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe.
- This role allows for remote delivery; however, work hours must align with the core work hours for clients (Eastern time zone).
