Terminal Air Traffic Control (ATC) Specialist Join to apply for the Terminal Air Traffic Control (ATC) Specialist role at LS Technologies Job Description LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a part-time (50% Level of Effort) Terminal Air Traffic Control (ATC) Specialist to support the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) adaptation. The specialist will assist with scenario development, test procedure creation, dry runs, test execution, and reporting. STARS Adaptation & Testing Support the adaptation of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS). Develop and refine Terminal Publication of Guidance (TPoG) scenarios. Assist in the creation and execution of test procedures. Conduct procedure dry runs to ensure accuracy and effectiveness. Execute test plans and document findings for reporting. Weather Data Processing & Analysis Work with the TPoG application to process National Weather Processor (NWP) and Common Support Services for Weather (CSS-Wx) precipitation data. Analyze precipitation output from multiple dedicated weather sensors to support testing and adaptation efforts. Collaboration & Reporting Coordinate with technical teams to refine test scenarios and procedures. Participate in test conduct and provide detailed documentation of results. Generate test reports summarizing findings and recommendations. Education Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred. FAA Terminal ATC experience required. Qualifications Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in Terminal Air Traffic Control (ATC). Hands-on experience with STARS adaptation and testing. Knowledge of TPoG applications and weather data processing. Familiarity with National Weather Processor (NWP) and Common Support Services for Weather (CSS-Wx) precipitation output. Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and execute test procedures. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Work Requirements Work location: WJHTC - Hybrid Work Hours: Normal Business Hours Travel: Less than 10% Physical requirements: Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal. Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance. Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms. Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision. Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
