As a Heavy Equipment and Commerical Truck Shop Mechanic, you will be the backbone of our operations, ensuring that our fleet runs smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise will play a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing various mechanical issues, keeping our trucks in top-notch condition. You’ll work in a dynamic environment where your heavy equipment and commercial truck skills will directly contribute to the safety and reliability of our transportation services.

*What you’ll do*

* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and commercial trucks, including engines, transmissions, and brakes
* Utilize diagnostic tools, including an ohmmeter, to troubleshoot electrical systems and components
* Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
* Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used
* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in truck technology

*Basic qualifications*

* Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in commercial truck and heavy equipment repair
* Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment, including an ohmmeter

*Preferred qualifications*

* Previous experience as a mechanic in the commercial trucking industry
* Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines
* Relevant certifications or training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
