Description The Boone County Prosecutor's Office is seeking a dedicated Victim Advocate to provide essential support to victims of crime and their families. The normal hours for this position are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday with the expectation of 35 hours per week. The is a non-exempt position with a 2024 salary range of $39,700-$49,700, depending on experience. County benefits will be provided.
Examples of Duties The ideal candidate will serve as a compassionate liaison, guiding victims through the complexities of the criminal justice system, ensuring they understand their rights, and offering support during court proceedings.
Typical Qualifications This role requires excellent scheduling and documentation skills, along with strong communication abilities to effectively assist victims throughout the legal process. The successful candidate will be adept at handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
