Job Description:

Project Manager -This candidate will provide overall management of personnel working in a technical environment. Candidate must be proficient in design standards, planning tools (i.e. work breakdown structures, Gantt charts, critical path analyses, PERT charts, etc.), budgeting, and technical and financial report development. This candidate will be responsible for performing the day-to-day and long-term project planning, scheduling and reporting of the work to be performed by the engineering, technician and administrative support staff under the requirements of the task. They will be responsible for setting up monthly meetings with the customer lead and staff.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned project or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management.
  • Supervise assigned staff may include subordinate supervisors.
  • Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, task order and administrative reporting.
  • May also perform high level technical services on assigned tasks.
  • Conducts planning and provides recommendations to clients on task workload.
  • Manages risk tracking process.
  • Attend customer meetings and may serve as client liaison
  • Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
  • Coordinates development of technical reports and deliverables and products.
  • Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
SCOPE: Manages one or more small to medium sized teams focused on a few or multiple areas. Low to Medium complexity.

Requirements:

BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 15+ years of Aviation related Program / Project Management work experience. Aviation related research and development experience is preferred.

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
