Body Shop Technician

Fat Fender Garage is seeking an Auto Body Technician. The qualified candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging the companys customer mission and will contribute to team effort to promote the long-term growth with Fat Fender Garage.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Have extensive knowledge in rust repair
• Fitting and gapping
• Panel alignment
• Prepping for high end finish
• Provide timely communication with management, team members regarding the status and applicable needs.
• Examine critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 3-5 Years experience in body repair
• Knowledge and understanding of Vintage Trucks, Automotives industry is required
• Vocational/Technical school program or apprenticeship in automotive technology or related field preferred
• Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Good organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Drug-free environment
• Valid drivers license

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting.
• Be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Safely operates a motor vehicle.

Hours and Benefits

This is an hourly full-time position working Monday-Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch at our shop in Gilbert, AZ.

This position offers growth opportunities as well as:

• Full time
• $25 - $35 per hour DOE
• Health, Dental and Vision Insurance (plans available after 90 days)

• (5) Paid Holidays Off (available after 90 days)
• (40) Hours PTO (available at 1 year)
• Overtime available on Fridays 6am to12pm (after 90 days)
