At Stansell Dentistry Associates, we are committed to providing exceptional dental care and ensuring our patients have a seamless experience from appointment to billing. We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our dedicated team.

The Dental Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for managing patient insurance information, verifying coverage, submitting claims, and ensuring timely reimbursement. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of dental insurance policies, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Essential functions:

• Verifies/obtain detailed insurance benefits.
• Main liaison for all insurance communication.
• Attaching insurance benefits to patients’ files.
• Filing insurance claims.
• Estimating patient copays.
• Entering EOBs.
• Posting of EFTS.
• Working and maintaining an excellent claims report -following up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintaining organized records of insurance correspondence and documentation .
• Assist in creating treatment plans and presenting the financials to the patient when needed.
• Working with manager and owner to ensure seamless experience for patients and to help resolve issues .
• Returns patient phone calls regarding insurance benefits questions.
• Staying updated on insurance policies, regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in dental or medical insurance billing and coordination preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans and claim processing.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
