The job involves interviewing applicants for various insurance products, including Medicare Supplement, Convalescent Care, and Life insurance, in a manner that is professional, patient, honest, confidential, and efficient. The candidate must have knowledge of Prescription Drugs and Conditions Treated, with preference given to those with Pharmacy Tech experience. The role requires customer service experience, attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, insurance experience, and knowledge of medical terminology. This is not a remote position and the candidate must be local. Primary responsibilities include working scheduled shifts with possible rotation and overtime, conducting phone interviews on outbound and inbound calls, being detail oriented with good communication skills, adapting to frequently changing procedures, having a medical background with emphasis on prescription drug information, working independently to meet contractual time service agreements, verifying application information over the phone, following telephone scripts, pulling supplemental questionnaires when needed, ensuring accuracy of information gathered, entering completed interviews into computer systems, and routing files to appropriate departments. Requirements include being local, having a High School Diploma/GED with one year experience, ability to read and interpret documents, apply common sense to instructions, handle problems with multiple variables, and demonstrate honesty and respect for company policies. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
