Job Description

HRIS Analyst

The HR Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity, reliability, and functionality of PACE Southeast Michigan's HRIS (Human Resources Information System). This position supports effective data management, reporting, and process enhancements while making sure that HRIS solutions satisfy the changing demands, specifications, and strategic goals of the HR division. To maximize HRIS effectiveness, improve user experience, and facilitate data-driven decision-making, the HR Systems Analyst will work in conjunction with HR management and other stakeholders.

Specific duties and functions include:

  • Collaborate with HR staff and organizational leadership to determine short- and long-term HRIS objectives, including system modifications, upgrades, and enhancements to align with strategic goals.
  • Evaluate how the system is currently being used, identifying opportunities for process improvements, user training and education, and system customization to increase efficiency and value.
  • Prepare and present data-driven reports, findings, and recommendations to the HR Director and other company leaders.
  • Identify, recommend, and develop custom functions, automated queries, filters, macros, and reports to meet unique HR needs.
  • Plan, test, and implement new features, applications, and enhancements in close collaboration with other analysts and HRIS personnel.
  • Prepare training materials, user guides, and documentation to support system adoption and effective utilization.
  • Provide user training and hands-on support, ensuring end-users have the knowledge and resources needed to effectively use the HRIS.
  • Ensure system adherence to privacy and data security regulations, supporting PACE Southeast Michigan's commitment to protecting employee data.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS technology, providers, and industry best practices to keep the organization's HRIS current and competitive.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the HR and technology functions.
  • Advocate, champion, and practice The Ten Principles: the foundation of our culture at PACE Southeast Michigan.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments to meet required needs.
  • Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure HRIS meets organizational needs.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of functional analysis, system design, and HRIS architecture.
  • Technical proficiency with at least one major commercial HRIS product.

Education and experience include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with HR business systems, HRIS implementation, or systems analysis preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or related professional certification is a plus.

Physical requirements include:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
