Position Summary
Supports college enrollment by developing and implementing projects designed to enhance the total programs of the College as well as attract prospective students to the College.Projects the high energy, social confidence and enthusiasm necessary for effective recruitment, marketing, and public relations. An effective recruiter exhibits exceptional customer service and communication skills and is adept at converting newly admitted students or applicants into enrolled students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with planning and hosting dual enrollment parent nights and campus tours for prospective students.
Help student's complete admissions applications and required placement tests during recruiting visits.
Advise senior dual enrollment students on the courses needed to complete their degree plan.
Serves independently as territorial recruiter to develop and maintain partnerships between the college and local school systems, guidance counselors, teachers, and administrators.
Coordinates recruitment of students and corresponds with prospective students.
Maintains an individual recruitment plan for each semester. The plan includes recruitment goals and activities, participation in events/college fairs, communications with prospective students and networking opportunities.
Presents educational programs in area schools.
Organizes and assists with visits of high school students.
Provides information regarding admissions requirements and program benefits to prospective students and parents via phone, mail and personal visits; follows up with mail or phone call, as appropriate.
Knowledge of each academic program offered at Enterprise State and the Alabama Aviation College.
Conduct Career Coach lessons with local high school students ranging in grades 9 - 12.
Represents the College at area career day/college night programs.
Coordinates orientation, special events, and other student activities to enable counselors, parents, and prospective students to learn more about the College.
Schedules campus visits, high school presentations and maintains a calendar.
Serves as a tour guide for individuals and groups visiting the campus.
Advises newly admitted students about the various programs and services available at the College.
Works with appropriate personnel in maintaining current enrollment records as they relate to recruitment.
Maintains effective community relations with service area representatives.
Maintains a resource list of community and state contacts.
Assists with the development and distribution of enrollment marketing publications and communications including letters, brochures, website postings, electronic mail and other mediums.
Assists in development and implementation of marketing plan for new instructional programs, college initiatives, services, etc.
Coordinates arrangements for meetings, conferences, speaking engagements and interviews.
Staff exhibits/displays at conventions, conferences and other events.
Assists College staff concerning activities, advertisements, and printed materials related to student recruitment.
Organizes, prepares and attends new conferences as needed.
Run and analyze reports within the Target X, Argos and Banner databases.
Serves on college committees as assigned.
Orders supplies as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Recruiting, Dean of Students and/or the President.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or Associate's degree with two years of customer service experience.
Experience in college recruiting, event planning/promotion, customer service, social media campaign design, and/or media relations preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
Verbal and writing skills to make presentations to students and counselors.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Proficiency in use of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
Ability to travel as needed.

Salary Schedule E3 03$45,220 -$62,710, to be determined by the applicant's education and years of applicable experience. Applicant acknowledges that if selected for the position that applicant's placement on the applicable salary schedule will be dependent upon the verified information provided.

Sick Leave
All regular full-time non-instructional staff earns one day of sick leave which is the equivalent of 8 hours of sick leave per month. Unused sick leave is rolled over to the following year. Upon retirement, employees are allowed to convert unused sick time into service time for the purpose of retirement. Retirement
The TRS was established in 1939 to provide benefits to qualified persons employed by state-supported educational institutions. Responsibility for the management and administration of the TRS is vested in its Board of Control. The Boards of Control elect the Secretary-Treasurer who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the RSA and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the RSA. Tuition Assistance
This tuition waiver program is designed for all full-time instructional and non-instructional employees of The Alabama College System and the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education and their dependents as defined under by policy. The program will be coordinated by each institution for employees within The Alabama College System and the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education. An application form for the tuition assistance program is available in the Human Resources office and should be completed prior to registration for classes.
